Unexpected

I hit Borders today when they were having a buy 4 books get one free sale so I got all the manga in the series that my brother got me the tail end of. Just let me say I adore Saiyuki. Also hit Barnes and Nobles because I had a ten dollars off coupon and yay for this, got stuff for birthdays for months from now.

what's even more unexpected than the haul at the book stores is my writing since October. Lately I've far less desire to write fanfic than I do my original writing. Usually it's the other way around. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Of course the novel taking over my brain is one I'm cowriting and my characters need to remember they do NOT run the show and that i need to leave something for my coauthor to do and be patient (which i'm lousy at)

I'm also hoping for increased performances at the writing community nanomowhinging in both writing and feedbacking and I'd like to see bookheaven to get some life back to it. So if you're interested in telling us about the books you've read please join us.

I'm going to the casino tomorrow and spending the night. evil_little_dog got me a coin bucket ornament and a voo doo baby doll keychain. I think i'm going to rub them together and take the doll with me.

Loving Saiyuki. Haven't seen the anime yet but i have plans on it.
