Title Swaps
Mar. 13th, 2007 05:20 pmThis week's
open_on_sunday challenge was to take episode titles and write a new storyline with them. This was fun
Dawn – Post Series – Prophecy Girl
She had given up wondering if she should exist or if she were honestly real. Those paths led her nowhere. Now that she was here on campus no one knew or cared that Dawn had been a key to hell, a prophesized object hunted for by a hell goddess. All she was to them was Dawn Summers, dorm mate, language tutor, Alpha Sigma Tau rushee. They didn’t know that all of this would one day morph into Watcher, didn’t know about the things that went bump in the night, about Slayers and other dimensions. They were normal, everything she wanted.
Connor – Post Series – School Hard
There were times he felt frustrated with his classmates, especially when he had to be their lab partners. One or two of them took things seriously and the others were just wasting their parents’ money. Connor had nothing against having a good time. He went to more than his fair share of parties but when it was time to study, he did it. He was tired of hearing about how hard anatomy was and all the groaning they did about the tests being too hard. He looked at his perfect score and wondered had Angel made them supercharge his brain
Connor & Dawn – Post Series – Welcome to the Hellmouth
“So this is where it all started,” Connor looked into the sinkhole.
“Yeah, Buffy fell in love with Angel here…Spike, too. She has a thing for vampires,” Dawn said wryly.
Connor made a face. “No accounting for taste.” He squatted down, running his hand over rock. “I think one of mom’s deaths was here.”
Crossing her arms over herself, Dawn replied. “Mom’s grave was here and now I don’t even have that.”
Straightening up, Connor slipped an arm around her. “That’s rough.”
Dawn nodded. “Why did you want to come here?”
“Trying to understand, Dad.”
“Never gonna happen.”
“No kidding.”
Dawn/Connor post series –Welcome to the Hellmouth
“I was hoping to follow my sister’s advice tonight,” Dawn said ruefully, flicking demon guts off the tips of her fingers. “So much for that.”
Connor, more liberally soaked in gore, looked at her wryly. “Buffy gives dating advice?”
“Eh.” Dawn shrugged. “I know it’s hard to believe, given her dating choices but yeah. Hey, I’m the only little sister she has.”
“So, where did we go wrong?”
“She warned me never to kill the boy on the first date.” Dawn grinned through the drying blood.
Connor laughed. “Then you picked the right boy. I’m damn hard to kill.”
“Goody!”
Dawn/Connor – Post series – Nightmare
Dawn licked along the line of Connor’s jaw, her hands skimming down his wiry back as he moved over her on the couch. Slither played in the background, cheesy funny horror forgotten as hormones and purloined appletini mixers surged through them. Then the front door opened.
”Shit,” he swore.
”Don’t turn on the lights!” Dawn screamed.
“Angel…how attached are you to that skinny runt?” Buffy growled.
“Enough to slow you down just a little until he escapes,” Angel replied, laughter tucked into his tone.
”Oh god, this is a nightmare,” Dawn groaned.
“And we’re not gonna wake up,” Connor sighed.

Except for the typo in the last one - “Enough to slow you don’t just a little until he escapes,” Angel replied, laughter tucked into his tone.
Do you mean "slow you down"?
