Happy Ostara to those who observe. In honor of the equinox, I think I'll bypass all the bad news (of which there is plenty) and go with the good.

I almost got myself some wild flowers for the holiday then realized NONE of them are blooming. Poo.



As I was handing out the cats to the students today, I lugged out one that was enormous. I would have loved to see this bruiser in life because he would have come home with me. His head was two of my fists in size. Everyone stopped and stared.

Between the cat lab and the frog labs for the non-majors I spent 6 hours in formaldehyde fumes. Blech. First thing I did was run home and shower.

Formaldehyde makes me sick - it triggers some migraine reflex in my brain. So does Bondo (used for car body work). GAG! I hope that the stink didn't stick in your clothes!

Barry smells of formaldehyde pretty much everyday, so it has become a positively associated mal-odor since it reminds me of him.
