Joyce – S1 The Decision

Her daughter would probably say she was overreacting, be irritated that she was upset with her. Joyce couldn’t help that. When Buffy got older she would understand that. Joyce knew that Buffy had been badly effected by her divorce, burning down the gym the final step in acting out her anger. Kick and scream all she wanted, Buffy wasn’t going to win this one. They were going to Sunnydale. Joyce was fighting for her daughter, trying to keep her on the right track. She wasn’t going to lose this one. Joyce wished she didn’t have to be the bad guy.


Connor – Post Series – Dads, can’t live with them…

He was upset with Angel again. Big shocker. After everything they’ve been through picking up the pieces after Blackthorn’s attack, Connor thought his father would trust him or stop sheltering him or whatever the hell it was he was doing. Why couldn’t Angel just tell him things instead of deciding stuff for him? Like who Spike really was or maybe that he had a nutso ‘sister’ in Drusilla. Or hey, how about one of the loves of my life is a Slayer. Imagine Buffy’s surprise when Dawn brought him home and she found out who Connor was. His father, honestly!

They're both very good but I really like the Joyce one. She really was in a tough spot with Buffy in season 1. I'm glad their relationship got better over the years before she died.
