a couple of drabbles

Buffy/Angel - post series
Buffy watched Angel’s lower lip trembling. In her time she had seen two of the biggest toughest vampires in the Watcher chronicles cry. She knew the signs. What she didn’t know was what had happened so she asked.
“Nothing,” Angel retorted stubbornly.
“I can see it’s something.”
“Connor called me a square.” That came out with that patented, ‘how can I not be a cool parent’ whine.
“Did he actually use that word?” Buffy tried not to laugh. “It needs updating.”
Angel just stared. “You’re proving his point. He bashed on my technophobia and how I dress.”
“Pot to kettle.”

Connor sighed. Buffy had ripped him a new one for upsetting undead precious lover number one. It as if what he had said was a lie. Angel was useless with technology. No man should wear a sweater with leather pants and he was a stubborn self-righteous bastard. Mumbling, ‘oh my god’ Dad fled.
Connor fought to get the connections tight on his father’s old almost square TV. Seriously, hadn’t he heard of hi-def? “Dad, get in here!”
When Angel came in, Connor plopped a controller in his hand. At Angel’s confused look he said, “It’s a Wii. We’re playing golf.”
