I hate making a choice
Mar. 13th, 2008 09:24 pmGeminis suck at it. It was in the eye doctor's office for. ever. And a day. And I damn near bought the ones I had picked out with my eyes dilated but all three techs thought they weren't quite that fashionable (sorry Saks)and since they were the most expensive pair I had in my pile of may-bes I figured they must be right. Most of them made me look like Maes Hughes in drag. I'm pretty happy with the pair I did pick but they had to double check to make sure that they would be able to withstand the sheer weight of my lenses. And oh, when did we start making the stems SHORT? We had to special order them. my face is NOT that fat and I'm pretty sure I'm not deformed. I've never had this problem before. All the stems were so short there was no way in hell they would have fit
And D, the other anatomy prof found a stray Siamese, chocolate point with an apple head and brought it to school since our secretary's sister has been looking for one. He was SOOOO pretty I was tempted to keep him then I remembered why I don't want a Siamese. They Never. Shut. Up.
Speaking of that, the dog was back. Roy took one look at him, stayed in the house then proceeded to yell at ME as if I were to blame. He then, in a strange fit of friendliness got up on my lap at the computer and because it was warm enough to have the windows open he seemed to realize there WAS a window. He parked his furry butt on the seal and proceed to wind the dog up from inside the house. Rolls Eyes.
ETA - I called the State Attorny about my loan and of course my case worker is out until well after my deadline. I left a message with someone else. Naturally they did not return my call...

Date: 2008-03-14 01:59 am (UTC)I nearly came home with another JRT yesterday morning - but this one actually had tags! It wouldn't come to me, of course, not with Vinnie screaming bloody murder. Today, in the newspaper, I saw the same dog with a reward sign. *sigh*

Though I think Roy's ego may still be bruised by the collar and throw rug incident....no subject

Date: 2008-03-14 02:10 pm (UTC)I hate this new trend toward tiny square glasses. I'm sufficiently myopic that I want large round frames covering as much of my visual field as possible. If only I had a slower getawayfrommyeyeballs! reaction, I'd go for contacts ...

Date: 2008-03-14 02:27 pm (UTC)this is my problem. They did have bigger ones. They had the 1980's ginmorous plastic frames which i hated 20 years ago and would rather go around in the tiny things since i never really actually wear them (thank god for contacts)
