and found out I was so sorely mistaken i THOUGHT A&P was at 1230 and the class I was trading at 1:30 pm but the class i gave UP was at 12:30 sobs so now I'm NOT getting out earlier and I'm sitting on my ass for THREE hours. If I had known that (must have written it down backwards) I would never have agreed.

My work computer was fragged. it took 25 minutes to boot so they reimaged it for me. So naturally I have nothing left on it. I figure fixing this would be a slam bam thank you ma'am in and out as I take everything from the external hard drive and put it back on there. SO i don't take a lunch. I'm done at 1 pm after all.

HOW many times have I done this this month? Naturally they didn't give me administrative rights which means a) i can't download ANYTHING b) I can't put in the external drive. Sobs. Call them up and get that fixed. And ask for Respondus (the online test making software to be reinstalled) They can't find it so they'll call me back. I wait and fuss with pulling stuff off the R drive and put THAT back on the computer so I can at least print out the syllabi

My printers are gone. I dig up the software for my office printer (which takes a half hour to load, screw you too HP), no one can find my network printer. the one that IS there isn't ours. God knows where that test print went. 3 PM I say screw it. IT isn't coming. I just leave. the secretary can let them in.

I have to go to the vet for meds because SOMEONE has a tape worm (quit eating shit, dummy)

Now for the techie help, went i get back here from PA, my monitor is goofy (or i'm HOPING it's the monitor) I didn't replace it so it's 3 years old. Well the right hand side @ 1 1/2 inches is darker than the rest and if you try to click on the icons there a line pops up on the screen and you can't do it. I thought HMMMM maybe the monitor is going (insert cussing). Ask lunatic_0 and he agrees. So i turn on the net and Word and they're FINE. There's no darkness there's no issues at all. So i thought maybe the wallpaper had corrupted so I replaced that picture. No dice. I hoped maybe somethng booted wrong but it's still there today. Thoughts? Is it the monitor? If so why is it only apparent when I look at the desk top and nowhere else? Whimpers.

I NEED an icon that says SHOOT ME.

If get more dragons, the image will change though. I guess I can just make sure to replace it with the same image name each time.

The image name stays the same each time though. I created a new incubator and uploaded the new image with the same name. So, my links are still good. I checked them to make sure.

I bet it's Vista. Maybe try poking around in the display properties area (or whatever it's called in the Brave New Windows World) - particularly if you can turn off some of the graphical fluffiness ("effects" or somesuch).

Apparently, there's a limit to the number of graphical objects that Windows vista can have on the desktop at one time, and there is/was an issue with it not freeing up those objects when it was done with them. Or something like that - kind of the same idea as a memory leak, it'll work fine for a while, but it's losing resources faster than it should be.

The hotfix I posted is supposed to patch up the leak. It's worth a try at least.

i have service pack one on here nad the only other download aftger much struggling with dial up said it doesn't apply to my computer. I didn't think this was the one with the 64 thingie (technical term that) but maybe i should try one last time)

I was going to say that that was definitely not a monitor problem but a software problem of some sort (driver, OS or something) Since it's solved I don't need to say that.

Tapeworm though, is also spread by fleas. I think you probably know that though. if he gets flea from a cat who has tapeworm and it poops on him and he cleans it up and eats the eggs.. well there it is. The meds will clear that up pretty quickly. I reccomend Frontline for him to keep fleas off. or I think a lot of people are using Advantage not with good success too.

DO NOT get Frontline that they call a kit that comes with a big container and a syring and a bottle for the leftovers that they call 8 cat doses. That's not for cats. It's a container of the does for a very large dog... it doesn't have the same mix as the cat kind, which is specifically for a cat's chemistry and the dog kind is not as effective for them. I don't know why, but that second chemical is essential for it to be effective for cats. Just a heads up. probably preaching to the choir anyway. ^_^

he has front line. so far i've been highly disappointed since he keeps getting ticks. (don't see fleas on him but i have had flea-like things jump on me but they crush so easy which is NOT a flea-like quality)

the vet tech was giving me crap for saying it was a tapeworm. I'm like sweetpea i teach parsitology, trust me to know one parasite from the other and how they're spread just give me the dropal.
