I have had a lot of beer

One of my friends from my airship had his talk tonight about the history of beer...with beer samples. Now I've had PQ's beer before and it's good stuff. I'm glad I went to it because they had the alcohol panels WAY away from everything and most people couldn't find it. It was just me and one other woman for most of it. Eventually others trickled in including a couple rude older men.

What interested me the most was a 'beer' made from the archaeological remains in an Egyptian vessel from 3000 B.C. (or as close as we can discern from the chemical analysis). barley, wheat, coriander and juniper berries and it was outstanding. I would buy a growler of this stuff from him. (Also now he had a little brewery Boo and Brews, he and his wife are also paranormal investigators) I still don't like IPAs but his mango/pineapple one wasn't the worst thing I've had. The blonde with coconut/rum wasn't my favorite either and I know why. I am not a giant fan of hops so I don't go for the pale ales. (which is why the Egyptian stuff was so damn good) I love his peanut butter chocolate stout (it's an award winner) that he put a little octopus ink in. It's another one I could drink forever. (and stouts/porters are less hop forward and more malted which s why I like them better).

I was going to stay for the cocktail talk but Leanna Renee Hieber was doing a talk on Sara Winchester and I wanted to go to that. Ah why is everything always at the same time?!? I did talk to her after about something evil_little_dog said for years and years, that there is no unhappy haunts in the Winchester house, that it felt happy. LRH agrees and the talk was about the fact that there is zero evidence Sara ever had seances there (that seance room came from after her death when a showman bought the house and turned it into a haunted attraction). Good talk.

Already bought one book. Might buy another but other than that, I don't see me buying too much. Many of the same vendors and once you already have everything you want from them....

Okay some of us are slamming doors or some shit because this is the third time my entire room has shaken. Dudes...I know there are parties but this is how to get asked to never return to this hotel.
